We know you often reach us at a hard time. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you visit our website or book an appointment, why we collect it, and who we share it with. We don't sell your information.
What We Collect
What you tell us when you book. Your name, email address, phone number and the address for the visit, along with details about your pet (name, age, breed, weight and situation), your regular veterinary clinic, your aftercare choices and the consent forms you complete.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. When you pay the deposit, Stripe securely saves your card so the remaining balance can be charged after your appointment.
How you use our website.We use cookies and similar technologies from Google to understand how visitors find and use our site, such as which pages are viewed, which buttons are clicked and whether a booking was completed. This information doesn't include what you type into the booking form.
How We Use It
We use your information to schedule and carry out your appointment, to contact you about it, to process payment, to keep the veterinary records we're required to keep, and to improve our website and advertising.
Who We Share It With
We share information only with the services that help us run our practice:
- Acuity Scheduling stores your appointment and the booking details you enter.
- Stripe processes your payment and securely stores your card.
- Google Analytics measures how visitors use our website.
- Google Adsmeasures whether our ads lead to bookings. When you complete a booking, your email, phone number, name and address are sent to Google in hashed (scrambled) form so Google can match the booking to an ad you may have clicked. This is a Google Ads feature called “enhanced conversions.”
- Google Maps calculates the driving distance from the address you enter when checking your service area.
Each of these companies handles information under its own privacy policy. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Your Choices
You can turn off personalized ads from Google at adssettings.google.com, and stop Google Analytics from collecting your visits with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website and online booking will still work.
How Long We Keep It
We keep appointment and payment records for as long as we need them to provide our services and to meet our legal and veterinary record-keeping obligations.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
